‘The Breaking Bread Project’ Food Drive – The Namaste Foundation
Supporting: The Namaste Foundation
On facebook: Event page
Timeframe: 5 May 2012 – 7 July 2012
In this project, the Namaste Foundation is running a food drive for those in need (e.g. homes for the elderly, orphanages / children’s homes / nurseries, hostels, homeless centres/ halfway houses and night shelters).
100% of the non-perishable food collected will be donated to the Society of St Vincent de Paul, for its distribution to the numerous institutions that it manages and maintains in Trinidad and Tobago (a list of which is provided at the end of this message).
Please donate non-perishable food items and support the tremendous work the Society of St Vincent de Paul does in our communities – in assisting and caring for the displaced, the elderly and HIV-positive children. Visit the society’s website and contact them directly to see how you can volunteer and make a difference in the world.
The drop off locations are outlined in the map below.
We need your help. Christmas and the holiday season shouldn’t be the only time we reach out to our brothers and sisters in need. To whom much is given, much is required. It is unquestionable that we have to be the change we want to see in the world.
Make a difference and join us in this endeavor. This is a call to action. Be the change.
In service to humanity, the search for the light. The Namaste Foundation is established on the principle of service to humanity, and it is sustained on the support it receives. Our power lies in the joining of hands to empower, enrich and edify the lives of those around us. With your support, we believe that we can be the light of change. The call to be involved, to be a part of the transformation comes to you. We need your help, but more importantly, those without voices need your help.
It is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness. A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.
Make a difference…Be the difference..
